Even though you have not programmed the computer, the kit can still be tested to make sure everything works ok.  First start your car and let it idle for a second, then turn on the Venom computer.  The computer will then do an O2 test to make sure that the sensor is functioning properly.  If you get an O2 error, check your wiring.  If it passes, then you will see the next screen pop up.  Tap the gas and make sure the RPMs rise, the throttle percent rises, and the O2 status switch between lean and rich.  If you don't get any errors, your done!  It took us exactly four hours to do the install with an average of about two people working at one time.

Your final step is programming your computer and getting your bottle filled.  The Venom kit comes with a supplied connector to go from the box to your computer.  Since the program should be installed now, hook the Venom computer to your computer, making sure it is in the off position.  Once the computer is connected, turn the power on the box.  Go into your program and set it how you want it set.  We recommend that you do not engage the nitrous under 100% throttle or under 3500 RPMs.  After you have completed the download to the computer, reinstall the computer in your car by simply connecting the two wire harnesses.  We also suggest (if its possible) to take your car to a dyno and check what horsepower readings you get under different percent ranges.  Start a 5% run then 10%, and so on.  You should see a somewhat consistent rate of horsepower increase in relation to the % you increase.  Also take into affect that it is safer to run under one half the horsepower your car puts out.  So if your car puts out 120 wheel horsepower, we don't advise that you go over one half that (60 HP shot) without other internal or fuel upgrades.  The more nitrous you use, the more engine heat builds up.
